Father's Day | twenty fourteen

Gideon and I decided to make Taylor cookies for Father's Day.  We used the same recipe on our Easter cookie post.  I must say that Gideon is very hands-on when it comes to baking.  Dough in mouth, flour in hair, licking the rolling pin hands-on.  There were many a tear when he thought I was not letting him be a part of it, so I just stood back and let him have at it.  The results were flour and dough everywhere and delicious cookies so it didn't turn out as bad as it could have.  Also, I perfected the frosting recipe this time and it was not nearly as disastrous as last time, so that is why the cookies look so much more edible now.

We headed to the Farmer's Market on Saturday and picked up some BBQ to eat.  It was Taylor's request and it was a good one.  Hello, tangy sweetness of the gods.  Then we spent all day Sunday lounging around, as we should.  A late afternoon thunderstorm completed an awesome day (Also, made us feel better about staying inside. Whatever helps, right?).
